Omnipod 5 pods are disposable components of the Omnipod 5
automated insulin delivery (AID) system. Each pod is a compact insulin
reservoir that is filled using the included syringe and worn directly on
the body. After activation, a thin cannula is inserted automatically to
provide continuous insulin delivery without tubing.
Powered by
SmartAdjust™ technology, the system automatically adjusts insulin every 5
minutes based on CGM glucose readings. It can increase, decrease, or
pause insulin delivery depending on predicted glucose levels to help
maintain stability. Meal and correction boluses are delivered through
the Omnipod 5 controller.
The wireless and waterproof design allows
comfortable wear during daily activities, sports, showering, or
swimming, providing up to 72 hours of reliable insulin delivery.
Operating time of one pod - up to 3 days or 72 hours.
