FreeStyle Optium β-Ketone by Abbott are blood test strips for measuring beta-ketones, also known as beta-hydroxybutyrate, in capillary blood. They are designed for blood ketone monitoring in people with diabetes and are used with compatible FreeStyle testing devices.
These are blood ketone test strips, not urine ketone strips and not glucose test strips. Each test requires 1.5 µL of blood, with results displayed in approximately 10 seconds. No manual coding is required.
Each strip is individually foil-wrapped, helping protect it until use and making the strips convenient to store at home or carry in a diabetes travel kit.
FreeStyle Optium β-Ketone strips are compatible with FreeStyle Optium Neo and supported FreeStyle Libre readers that include blood ketone testing capability.
