Genteel Basic is a vacuum lancing device designed for comfortable, virtually pain-free capillary blood sampling for glucose testing. Unlike conventional lancing devices, it combines a controlled shallow puncture with vacuum technology that helps draw a sufficient blood drop without unnecessary pressure on the skin.
One of the main advantages of Genteel Basic is improved comfort during regular blood glucose checks. Even when using a CGM continuous glucose monitoring system, occasional blood glucose meter testing may still be necessary—for example, when sensor readings do not match symptoms or when a confirmatory blood glucose test is recommended by the instructions for the monitoring system being used.
Genteel Basic works with universal disposable lancets with a square base or Genteel Butterfly Touch lancets, so users are not limited to a single proprietary consumable.
