COOLINGBAG insulin cooling case is designed for safe storage and transportation of insulin. It helps maintain an optimal temperature for insulin pens and other diabetes supplies during everyday activities, trips and travel.
Inside the case are special cooling crystals. When soaked in cold water, they turn into a gel and activate the cooling effect. After activation, the case helps maintain a safe insulin storage temperature of approximately 18–26 °C for up to 45 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
The case can hold 2 insulin pens, 2 vials of 10 ml each, or 1 insulin pen and 2 cartridges of 3 ml each. Its compact size makes it convenient to carry in a bag or backpack and take to work, on walks or when travelling.
For the cooling effect to work properly, free air circulation is required, therefore the case must not be stored in airtight bags or containers.
How to use
Gel preparation - Remove the inner element from the case and immerse it in cold water for 45–55 minutes. The crystals will absorb the water and turn into an active cooling gel in the form of small beads.
Important note: if the gel absorbs too much water, the case may become too dense. In this case, allow the excess moisture to evaporate before use.
Drying - After removing the inner element from the water, gently pat it dry with a towel to remove dripping water.
Use - Place the inner element back into the outer case, after which it is ready for use. The case can be stored in a refrigerator for additional cooling, but it must not be placed in a freezer.
Care instructions
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not machine wash.
• If the cooling gel is mechanically damaged, its functionality will be impaired, and this is not grounds for returning the product.
The model is available in four colors: black, gray, purple and blue.
