Omnipod 5 Pods are disposable components of a tubeless automated insulin delivery system. This version is compatible with Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7, making it suitable for Omnipod 5 users who rely on supported Dexcom CGM systems for continuous glucose data.
In Automated Mode, SmartAdjust™ technology uses compatible CGM readings to adapt basal insulin delivery every 5 minutes based on current and predicted glucose levels. Meal and correction boluses are still initiated by the user through a supported controller or compatible device.
Each Pod is worn directly on the body and combines an insulin reservoir, delivery mechanism and automatically inserted soft cannula in one compact unit. No external tubing is required. One Pod can be used for up to 72 hours, while a 10-pack provides up to 30 days of Pod supply with sequential use.
The compact tubeless design is suitable for everyday activities, sleep, exercise and travel. The Pod is water resistant and may be worn while showering or swimming within the manufacturer’s specified conditions.
